Pain-points Neck/Shoulders

The upper part of the spinal column and directly in connection with this the shoulder girdle. Complaints that occur in this region are: neck pain, a stiff neck, a worn neck (osteoarthritis), shoulder pain, bursitis and a limitation in the movement of the arm. The nerves that control the arms and hands come from the upper part of the spine. Complaints in the shoulders, arms and hands can therefore originate from the neck. Consider also: loss of feeling in the hands, loss of strength or tingling in the arms or hands. The osteopath examines the entire body for mobility of the tissues, because a shoulder complaint may arise due to there being too little movement at another location in the body.
