What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a method of healing whereby an osteopath makes use of his hands, examining the whole body for mobility of all tissues and structures. Where tissue/structure movement restrictions occur, the osteopath can restore the movement to normality using manual techniques.

Examination and Treatment

During the first consultation a comprehensive discussion takes place to map the health problems and their possible causes. Illnesses, operations and traumas that have occurred can be important here.

Insurance and Tariff

Osteopathic treatments are covered either fully or partially by comprehensive health insurance policies. It is important to know that a treatment is not deducted from your own excess! The osteopath must be registered with the Netherlands Register for Osteopathy (N.R.O.), and carry the title D.O.-MRO. See your policy or go to: Healthinsuranceguide
